PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT - Must complete the following:

  • 5-minute Run

  • 200 Jumping Jacks

  • 1.5-minute Plank

  • 100 Squats

  • 60 Push-ups

POOMSAE - Memorize and refine the following form: Taeguek Pal-jang (#8) and Taeguek #1 - #7

SPARRING SKILLS - Be ready to show these skills in sparring

  • 30 sec offense, 30 sec defense

  • Cut kick follow up (during match)

  • Comfortable control with head shots (during match)

  • Spinning back kick against axe kick (outside of match)

  • Sparring Rounds: 3 (1 min.)

HAND TECHNIQUES - Know basic blocking techniques

  • Down block

  • Inside-middle block

  • High block

  • Single knife hand

  • Double knife hand

  • Hammer fist

  • Straight punches

BOARD BREAKING - 2 Advance kicks and Power Break on 2, 1-inch boards
